"I don't have homework tonight!"...............Have you ever heard that phrase spoken at home? Here are activities that fourth graders should be engaged in every evening:
*Multiplication/Division Facts* - these should be mastered through the "12's family"
*Reading* - This should be done every evening for 20 minutes. Your child should read silently or aloud to an adult. They may read anything (though reading AR books is highly encouraged for our AR contest).
*Spelling Lists* - each child gets a new weekly list, unless we have a shortened school week. Even so, "everyday words" or old word lists could be studied for additional practice.
*Class Work* - Any assignment unfinished during school hours is considered "homework". This homework should be listed in your child's agenda and either circled or highlighted.
