Dear Parents:
The following is a list of important upcoming activities for fifth-graders. Please keep this in a safe place for future reference.
April 8-11 -----Human Growth and Development
Friday, April 11 -----Assessment Celebration Activities
Thursday, April 17-----Lincoln Track Meet all day at the M.S. Track.
Students will need to bring a sack lunch that has only disposable items. We will walk to the Middle School and return to Lincoln before the end of the day.
Tuesday, April 22-----Science Fair Projects Due
Friday, April 25-----Strings Across Kansas. We will be bussed to Wichita. They will not need a sack lunch for this day. The School Food Service will pack sack lunches for us.
Tuesday, April 29-----Lincoln Science Fair in the Gym-----6:30-7:00 P.M.
Friday, May 2----- City-Wide Track Meet-All day at the M.S. Track. Students will need a sack lunch. (They may bring a drink if they want, but PTA will provide drinks). They will walk to the M.S., but they will be dismissed from the M.S. track at approximately 2:45 P.M. Students need to be picked up at the Middle School track or some teachers usually walk back to Lincoln with students.
Tuesday, May 6-----Dare Camp-All day at Melody Bowl. Students will not need a sack lunch. They will be eating grilled hot dogs and hamburgers with chips and a drink. They may want to bring a water bottle to drink during the day, especially if it is hot. If they bring one, they are responsible for it during the day.
Thursday, May 8-----Field Trip to the Underground Salt Mine in Hutchinson. Students will need a sack lunch with a drink for this day. Everything needs to be disposable. We will return after school normally dismisses. We estimate our arrival time at school to be between 4:45 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Friday, May 9-----Middle School Orientation-----We will walk to the Middle School after lunch and return before the end of the day.
Friday, May 16-----Interest Day in the afternoon.
Monday, May 19-----Fifth Grade Program/Graduation at Lincoln-----7:00 P.M.
