PACEMAKER HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA COMPLETION PROGRAM

Welcome to the Pacemaker Degree Completion Program.  As the coordinator of this program, I want to introduce myself and my paraprofessional, Elaine Brooner, as well as to acquaint you generally with the goals and requirements.  After having taught high school English for over thirty years: 4 years in Kansas City, Kansas, 2 years in Wichita, twenty seven and a half in Belle Plaine, 2 years in Udall, as well as special education at Wellington High School for the last two years, I am now embarking on a new adventure, administering the Pacemaker Program at  the Roosevelt Education Center.  Elaine has worked as a para in the Wellington Schools forever.  We have both spent our entire professional lives with teenagers and take great joy in the time that we spend with them.  In particular, we are especially thrilled with the opportunity to continue making a difference with our students, both educationally and emotionally.
