Today’s News

*Students there are summer jobs available with the City of Wellington, mostly weed eating and mowing.  You can apply on-line, the pay is $7.25/40 hour week.

*All freshmen planning on taking Honors Sophomore English next year must provide a writing sample to complete enrollment.  You should bring a pencil to room 412 after reading in seminar Friday.  Don’t forget – room 412 after reading Friday for honors sophomore English.

*Congratulations to the golf team on a very successful seaso. Congratulations to Myles Miller who finished 6th at regionals and qualified for the state tournament in Manhattan.

*There is a mandatory volleyball meeting Friday in room 107 at 10:00.

*Seniors please get your check out sheets signed as soon as possible. Remember to stop in the office to have Mrs. Carroll sign off on fees.

*Any student interested in running cross country next fall, please stop by the high school track after school Monday thru Thursday this week, or Monday thru Wednesday next week and see Mr. Wallace.

*Mrs. Lawless’ Skills for Living classes will be selling cookies  Wednesday during lunch, cost is 25 cents.

*Summer volleyball team camp brochures are in the high school office.  Pick up brochure for the June 23 camp.  If you have any questions contact Ms. Beougher.

*FFA end of the year luau Tuesday, May 13th at 6:00 in the Ag Building.  Be dressed for the beach.

* Anyone interested in ordering a prom or graduation video, please pick up an order envelope from Mrs. Brotton in room 302.  They are $25 each or order both for $40.

*Wellington Chamber Community Cookbooks can be purchased in the office $15 each or $25 for two.

*Students and staff we are gathering items to send to Mr. O’Crowley who is currently serving in Iraq.  All of your teachers have the list of items we are collecting.  Please help us to show Mr. O’Crowley that we are thinking of him, while he serves our country.  The box is in the office and as it is filled, it will be sent to him.  We want to do this through the end of the year.  Personal cards and letters are also welcome as we are sure he would like to know how things are going here at WHS. Thank you for your help.
