Winning first recently at the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference in Wichita (and consequently, a trip to Nationals in Anaheim, CA in early May), the KWHS NEWS TEAM stepped up again on Wednesday.

The "team", made up of Seniors Dakota Lynnes, Drake Hendrix and Jacob Brown, competed in the VIDEO PRODUCTION-NEWS STORY category at the KSTL Digital Media Competition @ Kansas State University on Wednesday. The event was held in the K-State Student Union, elementary, middle schools, and high schools, competed in their respective categories and at the end of the day, the Wellington Crusader KWHS News Team emerged in 1st Place, amongst about 8-9 other HS's from across the State, including Manhattan HS, Wichita SE and Wichita East. It will be exciting to see how they do at Nationals this time next month!

Callie * Kaity

Also in competition at Kansas State were WHS Sophomores Callie Wickham and Kaity Kreifels. These young ladies competed in WEB DESIGN, and did a marvelous job amongst some tough competitors! Both finished high enough at the recent State Leadership Conference to also qualify for Nationals and will also be heading to Anaheim in early May!

Aggieville - K State 040319

It was a fun day, we ate lunch in Aggieville, had the opportunity to visit with recent WHS graduate Logan Jones and his girlfriend who were driving by and spotted us. Kind of hard not to spot 3 guys in red blazers and their agent, loitering in Aggieville, awaiting a table to eat lunch - and the burgers were great! (suggested by KWHS News Team member Dakota Lynnes who will be attending K-State this Fall).

Always proud to be a Crusader - today, just a little more than usual! Way to go gentlemen!
