Miss Kansas, Krystian Fish, visited with the students at Lincoln Elementary School prior to their Student of the Month Program on Friday. Miss Fish, who's hometown is Wichita, attends WSU and is working towards a degree in Psychology. Her "platform" as Miss Kansas is "Remove the Labels: Be Unstoppable".
Krystian is the founder of the "Be Unstoppable" Campaign, promoting inclusion and empowerment of the disability community. Krystian began her work with those with disabilities through The Arc of Sedgwick County in Wichita, Kansas, and quickly became a passionate disability advocate in her community.
Her work has been highlighted in The Mighty, Apostrophe Magazine, Parents Magazine, and numerous other media outlets. Krystian is connecting her personal platform to Miss America’s national platform, CMN Hospitals, as the hospitals serve millions of children with disabilities. “Being Unstoppable” applies to those living with illness, disease, and injury, as well as people everywhere.
