Mrs. Linda Chase, the FFA Instructor at WHS, manages the field behind the school and at the current time, students are not involved in the cutting or baling of the hay you see pictured.

Money raised from the field however, is used to continue farming and planting and the group is trying to make enough money eventually to build a large barn that can be used to house livestock, allow students to raise an animal to show at the Sumner County Fair, and also allow students the hands on experience of seeing what animal husbandry is like, going through the breed process, birthing and marketing of animals.

They are looking into grant money to assist with the project and also donations at some point. The fruition of such a facility is probably a ways off, but a goal nonetheless, to aim towards.
