The CRUSADER QUEST Summer Learning Program is underway!

Classes for elementary students are being held at Lincoln Elementary. WMS and WHS at their respective buildings. The purpose is to keep students engaged during the summer to fill in gaps in learning that may have occurred over the pandemic.

The curriculum is a mix of reading and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) and fun! The summer learning program also includes some PBL (Project Based Learning) activities and field trips! The WMS students, with Mrs. Kristin White, recently constructed rafts or boats out of straws, foil and tape. The idea was to build one that would hold more pennies than anyone else's. Mrs. Darla Carroll's class at WHS recently visited the Chisholm Trail Museum and are pictured here working on podcasts. Also at WHS, Mrs. Linda Rausch's class worked in their individual areas of interest. Mrs. Cathy Shuck @ Lincoln Elementary and her first graders explored the different pronunciations for the letter "H" after some fun activities outside, and Mrs. Daphne Adams had some fun with the students learning to "tell time.".

Some students attend only the morning sessions (8:30-11:30), some only the afternoon sessions (12:00-3:00), and some, both sessions (8:30-3:00). SESSION 1 runs through July 2nd. SESSION 2 July 5th - July 30th.
