Futures Unlimited Now Taking Preschool Applications

Now taking preschool applications

Will your child be 3 years old by August 31, 2024? Now is the time to begin taking steps toward preschool.

Go to www.futures-unlimited.org/APPLY to complete the application.

Parents can apply if they answer yes to ANY ONE of the following about their preschool-age child:

  • A concern with your child’s development (behavior, speech, cognitive, physical, social/emotional)
  • Single-parent home
  • Family might be dealing with poverty as indicated by the family qualifying for free meals under the National School Lunch Program, or receiving SNAP, TANF or SSI
  • Either parent lacks a high school diploma or GED
  • Experiencing homelessness
  • Foster children
  • DCF referral
  • Diagnosed developmental disability
  • Has limited English proficiency
  • Teen parent
  • Qualifying migrant status

As Sumner County’s leading preschool program, Futures Unlimited, Inc. is thrilled to continue its goal of effectively readying Sumner County’s young ones for kindergarten at no cost. At Futures, it’s actually a whole-family affair!

If your child is not old enough yet for preschool, but you can answer yes to some of the bullet points above, consider applying for Early Head Start services, which come alongside families to strengthen their family unit and offer resources and fun for the whole family. Simply complete the same application found at www.futures-unlimited.org/APPLY.

Preschool slots are limited, so parents are encouraged to complete the application process by June 3, 2024.
